Potter Hemp is a US-based CBD brand built on Shopify. Their mission is to unlock the healing power of cannabis and create trusted, safe, and highly effective wellness products. Founded by Nate Spock, the brand firmly believes that cannabinoids and terpenes found in cannabis have the potential to impact millions of lives positively.
He says, "Mainstream medicine failed me, and it's the Potter mission not to have it fail you too."
Upon conducting a 360 website audit of Potter Hemp's website, we proposed a set of services that could help them scale quickly and improve their overall website performance.

Rebranding & Redesigning
Potter Hemp needed a quick and new brand strategy.
Their old website was full of design inconsistencies among websites and labels. They were looking for someone who could help them increase traffic, add enhanced functionalities, improve user experiences, and help them generate more leads.
Potter Hemp reached out to Friction Studio for a complete design overhaul. Upon a detailed analysis of their site's user experience and technical parameters, we discovered that their current website design lacked in the following aspects:
Their website lacked basic brand guidelines. This adversely affected their sales metrics and led to maximum drop-offs from the homepage itself.
Potter Hemps' website design inconsistency led to increased bounce rates as users found it challenging to understand the exact message put forward through various pages.
Too many graphics, colors, and inconsistent fonts made them visually unattractive, reducing engagements with the page.
The product images used across the product pages did not allure the users' interest and lacked focus to a larger intent.
Analyzing the current website state of Potter Hemp's website, we conducted several discovery sessions and noted every little detail that could affect the websites' user experience. Upon a mutual discussion, we created a wireframe of how we shall proceed, which is as follows:
A Complete user research followed by persona-based journeys to arrive at a design that’s intuitive yet simple.
Creating a specific brand guideline was one of our first and foremost priorities as we started to work with Potter Hemp. While the brand guidelines were successfully discussed, we started redesigning the labels before moving ahead to website redesign.
Further to optimize and save our time, we created several mockups with the new labels and started building wireframes and UI for the store, which helped in ensuring brand consistency.

As we presented our audit report, we also discussed how inconsistent UI and mixed fonts led to drop-offs. We established a consistent design across labels and the website.
The site's new design has a well-defined layout and improved product display on product pages, which now reinforces brand awareness, creates an emotional connection with customers, and builds trust.
We created a brand new structural design backed up with our user research and experience for Potter Hemp’s website.
A well-thought-out website structure helps visitors build trust with your brand as they are able to reach out to all aspects of your brand by getting a quick overview of what it’s about.
Once we were through the website set up, it went through multiple testing phases. After getting the thumbs up from them, the website was launched successfully.
Since that day we have been delivering the perfect results that Potter Hemp looked for and they highly appreciate our efforts in making this a success.
